FAQs

  • The recommended tyre pressure for maximum performance is 36 PSI. It is important to check your tyre pressure regularly as a low pressure can contribute towards an increased risk of punctures and reduce the speed and range of your e-scooter.

  • One of the best things you can do is regularly check your tyre pressures are maintained at the manufacturer’s recommended level.

For example, Pure e-scooter riders who keep their tyre pressure at 36-40 PSI are less likely to get punctures than riders with a lower PSI.

You can usually find the required pressures for different models stamped on the sidewall of the tyres.

Rough roads, sharp objects, tyre wear and excess load can all lead to punctures. But keeping your tyres topped up will make it harder for sharp objects to enter the tyre, prevent pinch flats and allow puncture prevention fluid (if you have it installed) to work at its best.

  • Unfortunately all tyres (including those filled with puncture prevention fluid) are subject to wear and tear from factors beyond our control, such as surface conditions, the pressure you inflate them to, and how far they've been ridden. That’s why punctures and flats are not covered by returns or warranty as they are designed to be replaceable.

  • Puncture prevention fluid is a handy tool to use to prevent you picking up a puncture on your travels.

It works by proactively filling any perforation in your tyre while you ride - however when a perforation is present, naturally some of the fluid within the tyre will be lost as the product works its magic.

Because of this, it is necessary to keep your puncture prevention fluid topped up.

We recommend reapplying an additional 70ml per tyre every 2 months.

If your scooter has tyres which have an inner tube, you'll need to purchase a sealant which is suitable for these. A local scooter or bike shop will be able to help you here.
